Dan Guinee has 140 career goals and 140 career assists heading into his senior year at Andover High School. Now he has a national honor to match.

The junior midfielder earned USA Lacrosse All-American recognition for the 2026 season, joining North Andover's Tommy Farrell among Massachusetts (Eastern) region selections. Guinee also repeated as a First-Team All-Merrimack Valley Conference pick and was named to the Eagle-Tribune Boys Lacrosse All-Star team, published Aug. 1.

The honors cap a season in which Guinee powered the Golden Warriors to their third consecutive Division 1 state quarterfinal appearance. Andover, seeded No. 3, routed Concord-Carlisle 16-4 in the Round of 16 on June 4 before falling 8-7 to No. 6 BC High on June 6.

Guinee saved his best for last in that quarterfinal. He scored three goals, including a coast-to-coast backhand that cut the deficit to one with 1:59 remaining.

"Dan Guinee didn't want to lose, so he decided to take the game over," coach Bryan Brazill said after the BC High loss.

Guinee, who also plays football, is committed to play lacrosse at West Point. He is part of a lacrosse family at Andover High: his younger brother Michael Guinee, a sophomore defenseman, earned Eagle-Tribune Honorable Mention.

DeJesus adds to multi-sport resume

Teammate Marcus DeJesus joined Guinee on the Eagle-Tribune All-Star team as a midfielder. The junior is a two-time First-Team All-MVC lacrosse selection and a two-sport Eagle-Tribune All-Star, having earned the football honor after piling up 1,297 yards from scrimmage last fall. He also received honorable mention on the winter track team.

The Andover Townsman called DeJesus one of the most versatile and dominant athletes competing in the region.

Two additional Andover players earned Eagle-Tribune Honorable Mention: junior goalie Maksim Curreri and sophomore attack Nolan Dowling.

Phillips Academy's Alex Dimnaku, a junior midfielder, also earned USA Lacrosse All-American honors in the New England (Eastern) region, giving the Andover area three All-Americans across two programs.

Brazill's squad finished 11-6 and reached the Elite Eight for the third straight season. After the June 6 quarterfinal loss, Brazill said the program "jumped forward three years this season."

With Guinee, DeJesus, Curreri and Dowling all returning, the Golden Warriors will enter spring 2027 with a deep core of proven postseason players.
