Andover's biggest 250th anniversary celebration is just weeks away, and organizers are putting the finishing touches on RevFest 250 during a public planning meeting Thursday, July 23.

The 250th Anniversary Committee will meet virtually at 2 p.m. to vote on event details for the town's signature celebration, RevFest 250: Andover's Great American Gathering, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3.

The agenda includes the festival schedule, concert plans, sponsorships and a marketing campaign that will distribute 250 commemorative yard signs to residents.

RevFest will feature Revolutionary War reenactors, colonial artisans, battle demonstrations, a Native American mobile museum and other family-friendly activities. A free concert is also planned for 6 p.m., although the performer has not yet been announced.

The committee has already approved the festival's name, moved the event from July to October to attract more families, and committed funding to bring the Pouliot family's Native American mobile museum to town. Organizers are also working to book the 215th Army Band.
