North Andover residents dealing with mental health challenges, addiction, family stress, or other personal struggles can walk into Stevens Memorial Library on Wednesday, July 29, and talk with a support professional for free. No appointment is needed.

The North Andover Community Support Services team will staff a drop-in session from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the library, 345 Main Street. The session is open to anyone in the North Andover community, and all conversations are confidential, according to the library's event listing posted July 24.

What the team can help with

Staff at the drop-in can assist with mental health concerns, addiction and substance use, life adjustments, personal and family matters, and social, emotional, or behavioral challenges children face in school. They also provide crisis support, referrals to other services, and connections to community groups and committees.

The department operates out of the North Andover Police Department and coordinates with other town departments to link residents with resources. Crystal Clunie serves as Community Support Coordinator and Francia Tejeda as Community Support Case Manager, according to the town of North Andover's website.

The drop-in requires no registration, no referral, and no insurance. Residents can walk in at any point during the two-hour window.

The Wednesday library sessions are a recurring program. The Andover Townsman's community calendar lists confirmed sessions on July 8, July 15, July 22, and July 29. Whether sessions will continue into August has not been announced.
