North Andover families looking to fill summer days have a free option steps from the town center. Stevens Memorial Library at 345 Main St. is running weekly programs for teens, tweens, and young children through August as part of its Summer at the Stevens 2026 series.
Friday, July 17, brings three events under one roof: a Teen Game Day featuring Nintendo Switch, a Pokémon Club where participants can bring cards to trade and play, and Preschool Story Time from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for children ages 3–5. The story time session uses songs, felt boards, and a craft to build early literacy skills. Siblings are welcome.
The library's teen programming leans heavily into tabletop and video gaming. A four-session Dungeons & Dragons 101 series, taught by members of the North Andover High School D&D club, runs Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. starting Thursday, July 16, and continuing July 23, July 30, and August 6. The course is open to students ages 12–16 and registration is required.
Tabletop Tuesday offers shorter roleplay adventures each week for students entering grades 6–12, running from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. through Tuesday, August 11. Participants only need to register for one session.
Tween Hangout meets Mondays for students entering grades 4–8, with a rotating mix of crafts and games. Registration is required.
The library's 2026 summer reading theme is "Plant a Seed, Read." Students can sign up to track reading goals and earn prizes by logging books and joining in-person or online activities, according to the North Andover Public Schools website. The program also features craft workshops, STEM tutorials, and clubs including Pokémon and Anime.
The full event calendar, including times for programs not yet listed, is posted at stevensmemlib.org/calendar. The library's phone number is 978-688-9505.
