Dan Koh's Democratic primary win in Massachusetts' 6th Congressional District is now official in North Andover, after the town posted certified results from the Tuesday, Sept. 1 election on Thursday, Sept. 3.

The official results, published by North Andover News, cover every race on the town's ballot. North Andover-specific vote counts were not immediately available from the posted document. Districtwide, unofficial tallies reported by other outlets showed Koh winning the six-candidate MA-6 race decisively.

Koh, 41, a former Biden White House adviser from Andover, won 31,272 votes districtwide, or 42.2% of the total, according to Andover News. Andover state Rep. Tram Nguyen finished second with 21,810 votes, or 29.5%. As we reported Wednesday, Sept. 2, the Associated Press called the race for Koh just before 10:30 p.m. on election night.

John Beccia placed third with 12.3%, followed by former state Rep. Jamie Zahlaway Belsito at 8.8%, Mariah Lancaster at 3.7% and Beth Andres-Beck at 3.6%. Koh carried 30 of the district's 39 cities and towns, according to MassLive's unofficial tallies. Nguyen won seven.

"Just a generation or two later, a Korean Lebanese guy is your Democratic nominee. That's America, baby," Koh said on election night, according to the Boston Globe. A win in November would make him the first Asian American elected to Congress from Massachusetts. He will face Republican Micah Quinney Jones, an Essex attorney who was unopposed in the GOP primary, in the general election.

Closer to home, Connor A. Murray ran unopposed in the Democratic primary for the 18th Essex state House seat Nguyen vacated to run for Congress, according to WHAV. The district covers parts of Andover, Boxford, North Andover and Tewksbury. Murray will likely face Republican Christopher Shepley, who ran a write-in campaign, in November.

State Rep. Adrianne Pusateri Ramos, who represents North Andover, was uncontested in the Democratic primary.

In statewide races, Sen. Ed Markey defeated Rep. Seth Moulton in the Democratic U.S. Senate primary. Republican Mike Minogue won the gubernatorial nomination over Brian Shortsleeve and will face Gov. Maura Healey in November.

North Andover had posted unofficial results on election night but noted those did not include write-in candidates. All voters cast ballots at North Andover High School, 430 Osgood St. The general election is Nov. 3.
