North Andover drivers should plan for delays starting this week as crews return to a busy stretch of town roads for paving and restoration work.

The town's Annual Roads and Sidewalk Restoration Program will target Salem Street, Johnson Street and Andover Street, creating a connected paving zone from Leanne Drive to Dufton Court. Work is scheduled to begin the week of July 13, weather permitting.

Crews will pave:

  • Salem Street from Leanne Drive to Johnson Street
  • Johnson Street from Salem Street to Andover Street
  • Andover Street from Johnson Street to Dufton Court

The town is warning drivers to expect traffic impacts and raised utility covers, which will remain visible until final adjustments are made. A town representative will be on-site during construction.

The project continues a larger paving effort that began earlier this spring, when crews repaired nine other roads across North Andover, including Duncan Drive, Winter Street and Church Street.

The town has not announced a completion date for this section of the project. Residents with questions can contact the North Andover Engineering Department at 978-688-9500.
